Common Issues
Extension Errors

Console Errors
If you encounter errors in the browser console:
- Open Chrome DevTools (F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I)
 - Go to the Console tab
 - Look for errors related to ScrapeStudio
 - Report specific error messages when contacting support
 
Performance Issues
Slow Highlighting
If element highlighting is slow or laggy:
- Reduce Highlight Opacity: Lower the highlight opacity in Settings
 - Simplify Border Style: Use a simpler border style (solid instead of dashed)
 - Disable Animations: Turn off animations in Settings
 - Try on Simpler Pages: Complex pages with many elements can cause performance issues
 
High CPU Usage
If the extension is causing high CPU usage:
- Close Other Tabs: Reduce the number of open tabs
 - Disable Background Sync: Turn off automatic syncing in Settings
 - Update Chrome: Make sure you're using the latest version of Chrome
 - Update the Extension: Check for extension updates
 
Connectivity Issues
Can't Connect to Dashboard
If you can't connect to the ScrapeStudio dashboard:
- Check your internet connection
 - Make sure you're logged in to the extension
 - Try logging out and back in
 - Check if the dashboard is down at status.scrapestudio.com
 
Sync Problems
If components aren't syncing properly:
- Check your internet connection
 - Make sure you're logged in to the extension
 - Try manual syncing by clicking the sync button
 - Check your storage quota in the dashboard
